This extensive CUNY project involved approximately 22 different assignments on the Queens College campus. The buildings ranged from a 15-story administrative office tower to three historic structures from the early 1900s, and the work was completed in two phases. It was necessary to investigate and analyze a variety of building and design failures. We designed a wall facade replacement, campus walkways, public sidewalks, and building courtyards. We replaced roofs, repaired parapets, restore historic facades, repaired facade masonry, replaced a large number of windows and entry doors, provided garage lighting, and addressed bird control. Most notably, we used a Kemper System liquid membrane roof to replace the roof of the Queens College Science Building, given that the science building required numerous lab vent penetrations, including glass tube vents.
